Position Overview
Pantheon Data is seeking a
Business Analyst
with a background in applications development who is technically proficient and eager to learn. A successful candidate should have a history of analyzing, understanding, and documenting business processes and requirements for solutions that support cloud migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives. He/she will be able to communicate clearly and effectively with engineers and less technical team members (e.g., project managers, customers, and executive teams).
Responsibilities
Perform requirements analysis with clients to evaluate and document technical business processes and functional requirements.
Translate and communicate business needs and insights effectively to cross-functional team members and management for work prioritization.
Participate in daily Scrum meetings to support backlog grooming and sprint planning.
Collaborate with the project team to ensure solutions meet customers' business needs and requirements.
Create and update change management documentation.
Update project plans to reflect current and projected timelines, milestones, and dependencies for accurate project tracking and reporting.
Prepare documentation to include project deliverables such as recommendations and status reports.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
Excellent documentation skills.
Three (3) to five (5) years of professional, hands-on experience as an analyst supporting software development.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact clearly and succinctly in written documents and oral presentations.
Ability to work closely with stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions and opportunities for process improvement.
Competency using Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence
Competency using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience supporting DevSecOps development.
Experience supporting cloud-hosted solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Experience supporting DoD and/or Federal government clients.
Basic certifications in AWS or Azure are a plus.
Clearance Requirements
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Work Location
United States - Remote
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
