ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities
* Maintain governmental and proprietary funds and related budgets including reconciliations, preparation of monthly and adjusting journal entries. Funds will include Operating funds, Special Revenue funds, Fiduciary funds and others as assigned. * Prepare Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), financial statements, workpapers, and statistical tables. * Handle multiple reporting requirements in addition to CAFR. * Reconciliation of a large variety of accounts with many different sources of activity. * Review and reconcile invoices from and to City contractors; ensure special revenue funding sources are used properly. * May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other related field * Minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience * Requires ability to analyze and reconcile large amounts of data using multiple resources including query in different software applications, Excel and Access. Must be able to come up with the logic and methods to do this analysis efficiently. * Requires ability to research past financial transactions, ability to prepare workpapers that present information clearly and logically, ability to design new business processes and new reconciliation methods as computer systems and circumstances change.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
