Job description :
Member of the EMI Management team, the Maintenance Manager contributes to the strategy of the plant and its execution through their knowledge and management skills. This position is primarily responsible for the safe management of maintenance support and plant services functions for EMI, including departments such as Utility, Alloy Mix, and Plant Services. The manager also coordinates with various plant areas that operate 24/7, ensuring efficient operation and maintenance activities while implementing continuous improvement processes like WCM (World Class Maintenance) and the Eramet Production System (EPS).
A key aspect of this role is improving the skills and capabilities of the maintenance team, with a strong focus on developing team members. Therefore, strong management and leadership skills are essential.
Responsabilities :
- Maintain the highest standards of safety and housekeeping, ensuring adherence to plant rules, standard operating practices, and job safety procedures.
- Manage the maintenance support of MN Alloys operations and plant services.
- Coordinate maintenance manpower scheduling for various departments.
- Work with the EMI Engineering department on CAPEX projects and equipment upgrades.
- Develop and sustain the CMMS (SAP PM) system.
- Implement continuous improvement processes to improve maintenance efficiency and equipment uptime.
- Ensure that all required inspections and reporting are completed for regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate the activities of outside contractors and ensure their work meets plant safety and quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field (Mechanical or Maintenance preferred), or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record in upgrading maintenance departments in heavy industry leading to improvements in equipment reliability and availability.
- Exceptional management and leadership skills with a focus on team development.
- Strong knowledge of union craft trades, rotating and heavy-duty mobile equipment.
- Familiarity with SAP and basic PC skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including Federal Title V and OSHA 1910.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
