Inbound CoordinatorNew Bern, NC / Full-time
Your responsibilities
Central coordinator of inbounds end-to-end.Ensure that information about inbounds is up to date for all stakeholders.Ensure relevant documents are available.Direct the inbound flow to the optimal locations.Prepare requirements for (dray) carrier RFQs/tenders, support in tendering process, be involved in carrier selection.Schedule and coordinate pick-up of import containers/trailers from abroad with (dray) carriers and the warehouse(s), incl. scheduling of containers in Transportation (or any other tool in the future), under consideration of warehouse capacity, imminent demurrage fees and urgency of delivered goods.Track incoming shipments, maintain availability dates of incoming products in SAP and communicate expectations.Minimize demurrage / storage or any additional fees that can be avoided.Coordination with stakeholders, e.g. Demand Planning, and build up and maintain good relationships with them.Ensure all relevant documents (e.g. ISF file, seaway bill, etc.) are available on time. Request missing documents from senders with close follow-up.Coordination with the warehouse(s). Ensure containers/trailers are received in due time.Take corrective actions in case of irregularities and inform parties involved.Coordinate to pre-pull containers if needed.KPI measurement of (drayage) carriers.Maintain relationship with (drayage) carriers, incl. regular performance review meetings.Freight and demurrage invoice audits with CASS (or any future tool/provider), reconcile freight/demurrage invoice discrepancies with carriers.Close coordination with the abroad shipping locations.Reconcile delivery discrepancies with the vendor and inform customs clearance team to help resolve potential customs issues.Make decisions about where to route containers to (CDC vs RDCs).Coordinate return of empty containers.Proactively contribute to improve processes related to inbound of overseas containers and trailers/containers from e.g. Mexico.Provide additional assistance with projects and other items to be assigned periodically.

3-5 Years of Experience (Transportation, Supply Chain, or similar area) - RequiredWorks without direct supervision, using discretion and independent judgment in the decision-making processProfound knowledge of SAP, Transportation, CASSExcellent communication, Interpersonal and analytical skillsProficient in Microsoft Office ApplicationsStrong organizational and problem-solving skills
Your Pay and Benefits
The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based onyourspecific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
