Job Overview:The
Accounting/Administration Manager
will oversee and manage the administrative and financial functions for our client, a company specializing in selling, repairing, and servicing industrial rotating equipment, including electric motors and generators. This role is critical in maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements to support the company's growth. Managing a team of three, the Accounting/Administration Manager will handle a broad range of responsibilities, including accounting, HR, compliance, and office administration.
Key Responsibilities:Supervise a 3-person administrative team, providing leadership and support.Oversee the accounting and finance functions, ensuring the integrity of financial data.Manage the entire accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) lifecycle.Process payroll and ensure timely and accurate salary disbursements.Handle sales tax reporting and compliance.Oversee purchasing, receiving, and inventory management processes.Administer HR functions, including onboarding and benefits management.Review customer contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy.Maintain company safety protocols and compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.Manage IT operations and coordinate with vendors for system updates.Handle insurance management and ensure policies are up to date.Oversee compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.Optimize administrative processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.Anticipate future organizational requirements to support growth initiatives.Provide data entry support and handle administrative tasks not covered by the current team.Manage daily cash flow and oversee capital equipment financing.Requirements Include:
Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.Experience
:
Proven experience managing the listed responsibilities, particularly in accounting, administration, and compliance.Supervisory experience managing teams effectively.Experience in process improvement and implementing best practices.Service-based business experience is highly desirable.Skills:Strong leadership and team management abilities.Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.Certifications:CPA or equivalent certification is a plus but not required.Knowledge:In-depth knowledge of compliance standards, including OSHA and environmental regulations.Familiarity with insurance and contract review processes.Understanding of HR functions and payroll systems.Key Competencies:Problem-solving mindset with the ability to implement practical solutions.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently and anticipate future needs.Process-oriented with a focus on efficiency and scalability.Additional Information:
