Details Client NameMount Sinai Hospital - Staten Island Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyAmbulatory Job ID29289001 Job TitleRN - Outpatient - Contract - MSH Weekly Pay$2284.6 Shift Details ShiftDay - 8x5 - 09AM Scheduled Hours40 Job Order Details Start Date01/06/2025 End Date04/05/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Clinical Nurse - Registered Professional Nurse Job Specialty: Registered Nurse Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Varied hours - 9am-5pm non-procedural days / 6am or 6:30am - 3pm on procedural days Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: EPIC experience highly preferred Job Description: - Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of a professional practice model of Relationship-Centered Care and applying the nursing process grounded in theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards.- Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills for effective patient care management.- Integrate assessment and intervention skills into nursing care delivery.- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.- Prioritize patient care aspects, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning post-hospital care, delegating to others when appropriate.- Educate patients and caregivers, anticipating needs and readiness to learn about their care plan, health promotion, and disease prevention.- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the interdisciplinary patient care team.- Manage assignments within the Modified Primary Nursing Care Delivery Model, demonstrating efficient allocation of material resources.- Model professional practice tenets through actions like Admission Welcome, Bedside Shift Report, High Risk Medications, Equipment, Lines/Drains/Airway, Pain and Plan of Care reviews, purposeful hourly rounding, and more.- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and family, respecting their values, preferences, cultural diversity, and knowledge.- Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating improvement opportunities.- Implement process improvement strategies based on evidence-based practices.- Perform charge nurse duties and coordinate with management to ensure supply and resource adequacy for patient care.- Project a professional image, communicating with styles and methods that convey caring, respect, compassion, and empathy.- Foster an environment supporting clinical colleagues, patients, families, and healthcare team members.- Encourage lifelong learning, innovation, and ethical decision-making in patient and family care.- Participate in shared decision-making through practice councils, committees, and unit initiatives.
