We are seeking an experienced Personal Line Manager with expertise in Homeowners and Dwelling Fire products to join our dynamic team. This role will lead a team of underwriters, driving underwriting profitability and implementing strategies to support company goals in personal insurance lines.Key Responsibilities:Program Management: Oversee the overall operations and administration of the Personal Lines program, ensuring alignment with divisional objectives and company standardsStrategic Development: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance program efficiency, profitability, and competitiveness in the marketPerformance Monitoring: Track program performance metrics and KPIs, ensuring goals are met or exceeded, and initiate corrective actions as neededRisk Assessment: Participate in risk selection, pricing, retention, growth, and profitability activities, assessing risk quality and compliance within company guidelines to implement effective loss prevention strategiesCustomer Service Excellence: Maintain a high level of customer service, developing and nurturing effective business relationships with internal and external stakeholders to attract and retain profitable businessRelationship Building: Collaborate with senior underwriters to visit agents, brokers, and producers, learning to retain existing accounts, build relationships, and develop new business opportunitiesProduct Marketing: Interpret, explain, and market personal line products and services, ensuring clients understand coverage options and benefitsCompliance and Education: Apply underwriting rules and guidelines, as well as insurance laws and regulations; successfully complete all assigned coursework and educational programsQualifications:8+ years experience in personal lines underwriting, with at least 3 years in a management role focusing on Homeowners and Dwelling Fire insuranceBachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; CPCU, ARM, or other relevant certifications preferredStrong analytical skills, with a proven track record of making sound underwriting decisions.
