Construction Scheduler

Job Title : Construction Scheduler Location : Los Angeles, CA Company : PMCS Group Client : Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Job Description : PMCS Group is seeking an experienced Construction Scheduler to oversee program scheduling for construction projects in partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional with expertise in Primavera, construction scheduling, and public works projects. If you’re organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing schedules for large-scale projects, we’d love to have you on our team. Minimum Qualifications : 5 years of full-time paid professional experience in Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably on multiple educational facilities or public works projects. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management from a recognized university. OR a bachelor’s degree in any field with 2 additional years of Construction Scheduling experience . Proficiency in Primavera (latest version) and MS Office Suite . Experience with Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build project delivery methods. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build strong working relationships with project teams and department staff. Superior organizational and planning skills. Construction scheduling experience is mandatory – experience in other industries (e.g., gas/energy, manufacturing/production) does not qualify. Key Responsibilities : Develop and maintain program schedules, identifying relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints for various construction projects. Monitor and actively participate in scheduling issues, applying best practices and standards. Obtain accurate and timely schedule updates from project teams and perform QA/QC on data received. Create and develop conceptual "what-if" schedules for large-scale, multi-year projects. Perform Critical Path and Earned Value analyses. Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as directed by management.
