Plant Cost Accountant

The Cost Accountant supports plant operations in the activities of product costing, cost analysis, and expense analysis. Key Responsibilities: Assist in month end close activities related to Cost Accounting including preparation of journal entries Assist with the analysis of inventory and PPV variancesMaintain compliance with all JSox controls. Assist with preparation of actual vs. plan (budget) analysis. Prepare various financial analysis related to manufacturing costs and expense information for various product lines as needed for operational support Set up new raw material and FG product costs. maintain periodic cost rolls-updates Prepares estimates of new and proposed product costs. - Develop and maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components in an ERP system. Assist with the maintenance and improvement of processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation. Assist in documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls.
