This position is based at SBM Offshore´s Georgetown office in Guyana. The position will be offered either on a residential or rotation (9/3 only). Position to be in-country Guyana (shoreside) Ideally an expat position; rotation possible Roles and Responsibilities / Job Description General oversight of Guyana Mooring Masters – act as Team Lead and administrative supervisor. Main SBM marine contact between EMGL, SBM Monaco and Guyana Offshore Teams. Drive consistency and improvements to offshore marine and offloading operations. Act as a member of the shore-based Emergency Response Team; SME in Marine Systems. Develop, plan and execute step-out offloading activities across Stabroek Block – including but not limited to FPSO cargo hose section replacement, FPSO cargo hose complete change-out and FPSO mooring hawser change out. Transition these activities to Stabroek Block wide strategy development and planning versus current strategy of asset-by-asset to best leverage scale, logistics capabilities and minimize impact to production and offloading operations. Centralize and capture industry best practices and lessons learned for implementation in Stabroek Block. Act as consistent operational marine expertise / point-of-contact for shoreside Marine Engineers. Provide Local Terminal Approval for Export Tankers calling FPSO Terminals. Requests and documentation for each Export Tanker to be provided from EMGL Crude Lifting Team. Scope limited to Terminal acceptance based on updated Q88, general arrangement drawings, mooring diagrams and any other requested documentation. Conduct reviews of Mooring Master Offload Reports. Submit any required UVPRs for poor Export Tanker performance. Review any issues / inconsistencies during lifting operations. Drive any actions, follow-ups, or procedural updates and improvements from offloading lessons learned. Validation of Guyana Mooring Master competency and training. Develop a “Guyana Mooring Master Onboarding Protocol” similar to EMGL new tug onboarding. Support centralized HR hiring / training & competency teams. Coordinate specialized training opportunities (MARIN simulations, etc.). Conduct “boots-on-deck” operational observations of each FPSO annually (at minimum). Steward FPSO marine issues and improvement initiatives for Stabroek Block. In-country point of contact for FPSO marine documentation including Terminal Regulations, stewardship, etc. Minimum Qualifications & Knowledge : Minimum of five (5) years sea service on VLCCs with at least 3 years minimum at the rank of Master. Proven three (3) years berthing experience as Mooring Master at open sea SPM berths, or five (5) years as Port Pilot with twelve (12) proven berthing operations at SPM berths (SPM: Mooring buoy, FPSO or FSO). STCW Reg. AII/2 (Master Mariner Unlimited) with Oil Tanker Endorsement - Petroleum. Attended tandem offload simulator training (area specific). Experience in berthing vessels with a minimum of 150,000 DWT. Valid certificate of medical fitness of less than 1 year for offshore workers or an equivalent standard (e.g. OGUK). Extensive knowledge of offshore FPSO or FSO operations, including Marine Utilities, Marine Maintenance and Safety Management. Attended Management of Major Emergency Training.
