Full Position Description VP Regional Leader – Texas Region McKissack & McKissack, an outgrowth of the oldest African American-owned architecture engineering in the country, has a strong reputation for consistently delivering results on high-profile projects for government and private sector clients. ROLE (High level): The Vice President will report directly to the President of McKissack & McKissack and is expected to be a collaborative team player with strong internal and external communication skills. This role involves planning, organizing, and leading activities within their region to achieve strategic business objectives, maximizing returns and minimizing risk for the company. Responsibilities cover design management, program management, and project and construction management. This includes hiring and assigning personnel who embody humble, hungry, and smart attributes. Additionally, the VP oversees partner selection, project execution, and progress monitoring to ensure each project's financial success. A high level of financial acumen is essential as this leader guides regional operations, including budget development, revenue targets, profit and loss oversight, marketing, and business development. The position demands excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in organizing and presenting information to clients. The VP will be instrumental in establishing and nurturing client relationships to ensure we receive new work opportunities and continue expanding existing client engagements. Collaborating with the marketing department, they will prepare responses to RFPs, including technical fee proposals, manage resourcing, deliver presentations, and develop marketing packages. They will also participate in internal marketing meetings, supporting and aligning business development activities across other offices as needed. Your ROLE (Logistics): Reporting To: President Who Reports to You: Project Managers and VP of Business Development Where You Work: Dallas, Texas (Hybrid) Salary range: $175,000 - $225,000 Your Role (Responsibilities): Strategic Planning and Budgeting:

Develops, implements, and executes a strategic business plan and budget for the area, aiming to meet assigned metrics related to financial forecasts and customer satisfaction. Drives operational performance and capabilities to surpass client satisfaction, retention, and company goals; manages staff, leading recruitment and onboarding efforts. Marketing and Sales Collaboration:

Collaborates with the corporate office to approve advertising and marketing campaigns; works closely with sales and marketing teams to promote and sell projects, programs, and systems effectively. Client Development and Proposal Management:

Leverages an existing client network to secure new work. Identifies and assesses project opportunities, develops fee proposals, and conducts cost analyses; works with proposal managers to deliver high-quality, timely proposals. Leadership and Vision:

Provides leadership and direction across multiple areas, particularly our core services in Design (Architecture and Engineering), Project & Construction Management, and Project Controls. Corporate Liaison and Staff Development:

Serves as a corporate liaison, maintaining open communication with staff and creating individual development plans and career paths in partnership with the HR Manager. Executive Collaboration:

Works closely with the Executive team and support staff to ensure alignment and execution of the company’s strategic goals. Team Leadership:

Fosters a team-oriented approach to the effective management of the Practice. Industry Knowledge:

Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market conditions relevant to the region. Revenue and Financial Accountability:

Responsible for meeting revenue targets and maintaining P&L accountability for their portfolio. What We NEED You to Have: Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management. Professional Credentials: Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred. Experience: Over 20 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in an elevated role such as Project Executive, Director, or VP in construction. Skills and Competencies: Solid understanding of fiscal and human resource management. Proven ability to create sales and implement marketing strategies. Outstanding communication skills for developing and delivering comprehensive reports. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated initiative, judgment, and discretion. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and OneNote.
