About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Eastern Iowa Chapter. This external-facing role is pivotal in maximizing the organization's presence and connectivity in the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting region-led mission capacity building, strengthening community relationships, and serving as the primary liaison to the community. The role involves very little operational responsibility and is focused on being the face of the organization in the assigned territory, with an emphasis on communication, and the development of sustained community relationships. The Executive Director will also be tasked with managing the chapter board and community volunteer leaders to effectively mobilize support and resources around the mission. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a four-year college degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and a minimum of 5 years' related experience. Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills are essential, as is the ability to exercise good judgment in complex situations. The role requires a leader who can create an environment of teamwork and inclusion to deliver against the organization's mission. Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to travel regularly within the region are also necessary. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, and experience in a management or supervisory role, with a background in a flexible, change-managed environment.
