JOB PURPOSE
We are offering a full-time opportunity for a Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical assistance at our Miami and Fort Lauderdale offices. This position will transition to being primarily based onsite in Miami once we expand our future headquarters at Block55.
In this role, you will install, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting end users and is computer-savvy. We are seeking candidates with strong MAC support skills and Windows desktop experience. The ideal candidate should have a problem-solving attitude and the ability to give clear technical instructions. Familiarity with remote troubleshooting techniques is also essential.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking issues
Walk employees through installing applications and computer peripherals
Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems
Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions
Conduct remote troubleshooting for at-home employees
Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue
Customize desktop applications to meet user needs
Record technical issues and solutions in logs
Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
Equipment Inventory maintenance
Flexibility to travel to the Miami and Fort Lauderdale offices
QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)
Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role
Hands-on experience with Mac OS and Windows environments
Audio Visual experience: Crestron experience a plus
Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners
Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
Customer-oriented attitude
BS in Computer Science or relevant field
