About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to oversee and lead a cross-border team of accounting professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for the general accounting, financial reporting, and tax matters for both the U.S. and Mexico entities. This includes managing external accounting and legal firms, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and Mexico accounting standards, and driving financial strategies to support the company's growth, with a particular focus on cost control, margin optimization, and financial reporting. The role also involves developing and maintaining robust financial controls, and the VP of Finance will be expected to be actively involved in the hiring and management of additional finance and accounting staff as the business expands. Candidates for the VP of Finance position should have a 4-year degree in finance or accounting (a Master's is a plus) and at least 10 years of relevant experience, including a proven track record in P&L management and tax planning for a business with over $50 million in revenue. Experience in cross-border finance and accounting, as well as a strong understanding of financial systems and regulatory requirements in both the U.S. and Mexico, is essential. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, a team-oriented approach, and the ability to lead by example. Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as a high level of competence in financial software and Microsoft Excel, is also necessary. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
