What You Will Be Doing:
The Employment Services Technician (EST) 1 position provides employment services in the main service area of the Juneau Job Center, the Resource Room. The incumbent worker will provide a variety of services to customers, to include resume writing, interviewing skills, cover letter assistance, job search assistance, labor market research, and career exploration. Information is gathered from job seekers pertaining to work history and job readiness, skills, knowledge, abilities, qualifications, certifications, and licenses using formal and informal interviewing techniques. Referrals are made to job openings, training opportunities, partner agencies, and other services, as appropriate. Instructions and assistance is given to customers using services, systems, and information available in the Resource Room. Job seekers are instructed one-on-one and in group settings in employability skills, job search strategies, completing applications, resume assistance, interviewing techniques, and labor market research.

Minimum Qualifications
