Job Title: AccountantJob Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for invoicing customers for parts and services, managing customer account accuracy, completing required documentation, and making credit decisions. Additionally, this role involves managing customer sales tax exemption documents, maintaining company fleet records, reconciling balance sheet accounts, making month-end journal entries, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and other regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Invoice customers for parts and services
Manage customer account accuracy
Complete customer required documentation
Make customer credit decisions
Manage customer sales tax exemption documents and system tax rates
Maintain company fleet records and coordinate with related service providers on fleet activity
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, make month-end journal entries, and perform other accounting duties
File annual local, state, and other regulatory requirements for compliance
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
Prior general accounting and administrative experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Experience with accounts receivable, collections, and accounts payable
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented
Superb time management and multi-tasking skills
Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others
Work Environment
The role involves working with various technologies and equipment typical of an accounting environment. The work hours are standard, and the dress code is professional business attire. The position may require occasional interaction with service providers and external stakeholders.
