Colorado State University’s Johnson Family Equine Hospital ( JFEH ) is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to horses. Designed with the patient and client in mind, we offer expertise in all equine specialties, all under one (180,000 square foot) roof, 24 hours a day, year round.

Position Summary
Our Administrative Coordinators are Veterinary Receptionists greet clients in person as well as via phone, and assist them with check-out and billing questions.
Main responsibilities:
Assist clients calling in to the JFEH during our night and weekend hours, quickly identify emergent calls and alert extended team.
Work effectively and respectably both independently and as a member of a team to accomplish high quality client and patient care.
Accurately enter client and patient information into the electronic medical record.
Multi-task between phone, computer and in-person responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Remain calm and focused to provide the best experience for clients and patients during emergent situations.
Other duties as assigned.
Employees can expect at least 1 weekend 8am – 5pm shift per week. Initial training will be provided during work week and will require a few weeks of part-time daytime hours.
Candidates may be interested in this role because of the career growth opportunity and/or income supplementation as a part-time job. This role is not benefits eligible, however employees may apply for other benefit-eligible roles in the future. This role does earn sick time based on the number of hours worked.
Position Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED .
Must be available and willing to regularly work at least one weekend shift per week.
Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in veterinary clinic setting (reception or clinic floor).
Previous equine and livestock experience or exposure.

Utilizes multiple communication systems to successfully communicate vital information, route calls, and transmit messages. Utilizes phone and pager system.

Quotes prices for services. Educates clients about the hospitals billing process and extended service areas potentially entering charges the next business day.
