Associate Director, Project Controls - Life Science & Industrial Manufacturing Projects

We are seeking to appoint a full-time, talented Associate Director, Project Controls, to support major capital projects in the Life Sciences and Industrial Manufacturing sectors.
Responsibilities
Project Controls Leadership
:
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of project controls, including schedule, cost, quality, logistics, and reporting, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations while leading and growing a team focused on cost/schedule/contract/risk management. Risk Management & Mitigation
:
Identify project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies and contingency plans, ensuring proactive action to safeguard project timelines, budgets, and outcomes. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle, while preparing and delivering formal project control reports. Procurement & Cost Management
:
Oversee the procurement process, ensuring effective execution of all stages including pre-qualification, evaluation, selection, and contract preparation, while managing day-to-day cost controls, change management, and cost reporting for medium to large-scale projects. Project Performance & Closeout
:
Ensure projects adhere to established operating procedures, actively monitor progress against contract expectations, promote teamwork among all stakeholders, and drive the timely closeout and practical completion of works through proactive planning and value engineering. Qualifications 10+ years' experience in project controls for complex capital projects, preferably within Life Sciences, Industrial Manufacturing, or similar sectors, with a strong focus on cost, schedule, and risk management. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies, able to quickly analyze and interpret cost and schedule data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Proven track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing project controls teams, including cost, schedule, contract, and risk management functions, while maintaining effective client and stakeholder relationships. Extensive experience in managing the procurement process, including pre-qualification, evaluation, contract preparation, and change management, with a focus on medium to large-scale projects. Ability to absorb and analyze complex data rapidly, preparing and presenting formal reports and recommendations to key stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to project controls frameworks, operating procedures, and systems. Awareness of current methodologies and tools to manage, analyze and develop planning and schedule information related to projects Proficient with a variety of software packages including MS Excel, MS Project, Primavera P6. The estimated salary for this position is $170,000. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
