- Provides professional and courteous assistance to all clients. Answers questions, directs public to proper area or person, collects, scans, documentation required in addition to pre-screening clients.
- Responds to incoming telephone inquiries, voicemails, referrals and emails in a timely and professional manner
- Maintains daily records of phone calls, voicemails, emails requests, cancelations and clients seen as well as additional mandated reports.
- Provides required documents and assists clients in completion and collection of application forms and other required documents
- Types correspondence, memos, reports and documents as needed.
- Escorts clients and internal/external partners and stakeholders to and from appointments.
- Collects and distributes mail.
- Assists with data entry, tier process and pick up/drop off of items
- Schedules and manages client appointments in both Caseworthy and Outlook.
- Maintains the lobby area and the posting of notices to the public, in addition to common areas within the division.
- De-escalates clients who are in crisis with a trauma focused lens with compassion and respect.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
- High School Diploma/GED; Associates degree preferred.
- One year job related office experience.
- Excellent computer and data entry skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and de-escalation skills in working effectively with all members of the public, internal/external employees, nonprofits, and elected officials with dignity and respect.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Bi-lingual preferred (Able to read, write, and speak Spanish).
- Certified Mental Health First Aid Trained preferred or earned within 90 days of hire.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $15.00 - $17.89 hourly based on qualifications
CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
