The primary purpose of this position is to provide business analysis, system analysis, programming, and production support within DHHS IT. The position will produce deliverables for all phases of the Software development lifecycle from functional requirements through final implementation and production support. The position will participate in effort planning with clients, Technical Leads, and DHHS IT management. The position will be expected to participate in planning sessions with client for specific modifications and enhancements to the system; status reporting, monitoring projects for quality assurance and ensuring projects adherence to procedures. Some Key Responsibilities include: Participating in requirement gathering sessions, refining requirements, designing new programs, analyzing, and modifying existing programs, debugging programs, doing code review for peer programmers, writing test plans/scenarios and testing. Participate in the development of solutions using programming expertise for day-to-day business and technical needs which include maintenance support, needed modification, or development of complex inter-related applications/solutions. Uplifting of the older versions and technologies used in the current environment to newer versions and/or state-of-the-art technologies. Work with a diverse set of stakeholders and provide strong overall analysis/programming support for one or more complex applications/information systems. System assessment and performance monitoring to identify and correct avoidable production interruption. Providing production support including nightly batch cycle as needed May be reassigned to support different applications as necessary to support the department's critical needs and changing priorities.
