A law firm seeks a diligent and experienced Real Estate Attorney to join their team in Uniondale, NY. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in real estate transactions, with a focus on both lender and borrower-side matters. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, dynamic environment where initiative and strong writing abilities are valued. Duties: Lead and manage complex real estate transactions, including financing and property acquisitions for both lenders and borrowers Draft and review loan agreements, mortgage documents, purchase and sale agreements, and other related legal documents Conduct negotiations on behalf of clients, ensuring favorable terms and outcomes Provide strategic legal advice on various real estate matters, including commercial and residential transactions Work closely with clients, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations Coordinate with other professionals, such as real estate brokers, appraisers, and title companies, to facilitate smooth transactions Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant real estate laws and market trends Mentor and collaborate with junior attorneys and support staff as necessary Requirements: 5+ years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on transactional work involving lending and borrower-side matters Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex real estate agreements Strong understanding of real estate financing, including loan structures and documentation Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and address potential legal issues Demonstrated initiative and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, collaborative work environment Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clear, concise legal writing Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Certifications: Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission) Skills: Expertise in real estate transactions, including lender and borrower-side work Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills Strong research and analytical abilities Proficiency in real estate law, including financing, leases, and property acquisitions Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with clients and colleagues Proficient in legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite
