A law firm seeks an experienced Real Estate Associate to join their growing team in Boston, Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled attorney with 5 to 8 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded background, including experience in acquisitions, financing, leasing, and development, and will be ready to take on first-chair responsibilities while collaborating effectively in a team setting.
Duties:
Manage and oversee commercial real estate transactions from inception to completion.
Handle a wide range of matters, including acquisitions, financings, leasing, and development projects.
Take on first-chair responsibilities in transactions, providing leadership and guidance to junior attorneys.
Draft, review, and negotiate key documents, including purchase agreements, lease agreements, loan documents, and joint venture agreements.
Collaborate with clients, other attorneys, and professionals to deliver high-quality legal services.
Provide legal counsel on real estate transactions and joint venture negotiations (experience in joint ventures is preferred but not required).
Conduct legal research and provide clear, concise written and oral communication to clients.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to real estate transactions.
Requirements:
5 to 8 years of experience in commercial real estate law.
Strong experience in handling acquisitions, financings, leasing, and development matters.
Ability to take first-chair responsibility on transactions while working collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience in real estate joint venture negotiations is a plus but not required.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
A strong academic background with a proven track record of success.
Certifications:
Admission to practice in the State of Massachusetts is required.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate transactions and laws.
Proficient in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients and colleagues effectively.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative team player with a strong sense of ownership and leadership.
