Senior Commercial Real Estate Finance Attorney
Our New York law firm is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Attorney specialized in commercial real estate finance to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work on complex transactions involving commercial real estate financing, both on the lender and borrower sides. This role demands expertise in leverage transactions, and experience with preferred equity and joint ventures will be of additional value. This position requires direct client communications, providing an opportunity to work closely with our esteemed clients to meet and exceed their legal expectations.
Salary:
DOE Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead negotiation and management of commercial real estate financing transactions. Advise clients on legal and regulatory matters involved in leveraged transactions. Manage both lender and borrower side deal constructions and executions. Provide strategic advice in structuring preferred equity investments and forming joint ventures. Work directly with clients to ensure their needs are met, providing responsive, clear, and effective communication. Participate in business development activities to broaden the client base and enhance firm revenue. Minimum Position Qualifications: Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Must be admitted to the bar in New York. Proven experience in commercial real estate finance, particularly in leveraged transactions. Demonstrable analytical, strategic, and legal skills in complex deal structures. Strong academic credentials and professional history. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling large-scale real estate financing structures. Knowledge of additional commercial real estate areas, such as capital markets or M&A. Track record of fostering long-term relationships with high-profile clients. Previous roles leading a team or managing key strategic initiatives in a law firm. Skills: Strong negotiating capabilities. Outstanding client service and interpersonal communication. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
