Program Specialist 3 - Pre-ETS Service (Pursuit) Department SALARY: * * $56,880.00 - $64,440.00 LOCATION: Lynnwood, Washington DESCRIPTION: Edmonds College Pre-ETS Department is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Program Specialist that can lead outreach and engage with youth between the ages of 14-21 with varying abilities. The Program Specialist supports the Edmonds College mission, 'Teaching | Learning | Community' by supporting a director, instructors and teaching assistants, students, and staff in all areas related to program support, schedule development, and general office support in a fast-paced and timeline-driven environment. The Program Specialist will focus on outreach and recruitment as well as program wide responsibilities to fulfill all aspects of the Pre-employment Transition Services contract deliverables as a statewide servicer. They will be responsible for representing the college in the community to recruit new students and learners and network with high schools and community partners to attract a diverse group of students with disabilities (IEPs, 504s or documented disabilities). With general direction from the Director of Pre-employment Transition Services, this position plans, develops, and implements college and job site tours and high school-based workshops, particularly in the surrounding counties. For this position, it is required for the candidate to attend fairs, host events, and present workshops in person at the college, high schools, and online as they develop partnerships to help allow for current and future student referrals. They will also be coordinating all aspects of Pre-ETS program services, providing technical assistance and specialized consultation to program participants, staff and outside entities, and recommending resolution for complex problems and issues related to the program. Incumbents assess program participants' needs and develop specialized services and training unique to the program and are responsive to the needs of participants. Positions at this level work under general direction and typically have organization-wide program responsibility. Because this is a statewide program, this specialist will manage one component or assist higher levels in two or more components of the program. Incumbents assist higher-level staff by coordinating all aspects of program services, providing technical assistance, workshops and specialized consultation to program participants, staff and outside entities, and recommending resolution for complex problems and issues related to the program. Incumbents assess program participants' needs and develop specialized services and training unique to the program and are responsive to the needs of participants.
