Job Summary

The student involvement assistant student employee for the Office of Student Involvement is responsible for providing routine customer service, clerical and administrative duties according to established procedures This position also assists with department operations and inventory duties.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators

Job Responsibilities
  • Writes, edits, formats and proofreads documents
  • Performs data aggregation
  • Responds to the needs of students, colleagues and community members in a timely and courteous manner
  • Provides high level service through in person interactions, answers the phone, and responds to email
  • Maintains appropriate office supply inventory
  • Compiles and organizes information into relevant reports
  • Maintains filing systems and utilizes basic word processing, database and spreadsheet skills daily
  • Becomes proficient in student organization processes and systems
  • Assists professional staff with key departmental operations, such as mail and package processing, flyer distribution around campus, etc.
  • Supports the mission of the university and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
  • Assists with managing Student Involvement equipment inventory, such as tables, chairs, etc. This includes moving these large items from shelves to carts for reservations
  • Ensures a clean office environment through cleaning and resetting the space as needed
Job may require other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications - An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
  • Currently enrolled at Lindenwood University
  • Good academic and financial standing with the university
