Our client is a large real estate investment company in South Florida. This is an in-office role -
Qualifications & Experience:
Strongly preferred knowledge of or ability to learn Netsuite or Sage300 or similar ERP.Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.Knowledge of accrual-based accounting.Fund accounting experience a big plusExcellent use of Microsoft Office Suite with proficient-level skills in Excel.4+ years of accounting experience.
Essential Functions:
Overall general ledger process knowledge, including closing the books on a monthly basis.Prepare and post adjusting journal entries and accruals during month-end closings.Prepare monthly account reconciliations and follow up to clear reconciling items.Assist in the preparation of standard and ad hoc monthly reporting for senior management.Assist management in preparing quarterly and year-end deliverables.Support management in preparing required schedules for external auditors.Provide subject matter expertise assistance in assigned areas to management.Perform special projects and requests from management and operations.
Required Attributes:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of general financial accounting and construction cost accounting.Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software and accounting software.Uncompromising integrity and confidentiality.Sound understanding of bookkeeping and the ability to apply the concepts to specific situations.Solid analytical skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.Solutions-oriented person.Demonstrate a sense of urgency in completing assignments.Ability to demonstrate flexibility to get the job done.Ability to prioritize workloads and meet tight deadlines
