Position Summary

This recruitment will be used to fill multiple part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Clerical Assistant positions for the KidSpirit Program in the Division of Extension and Engagement at Oregon State University (OSU).

KidSpirit's goal is to provide a quality and safe environment for all campers, parents, and staff. Employees should always be prepared and willing to respond to the unexpected. KidSpirit prides itself in challenging its employees to grow as individual's while gaining professional experience.

Position Duties

100% Specific duties and percentages vary depending on the student assignment but duties may include:Assist with the creation, editing, updating and maintenance of program projects and reports; maintain a variety of schedules.Attending orientations, meetings, and in-service trainings.Completing and submitting appropriate documents as needed (incident/accident reports, monthly timesheets, lesson plans, etc.)Using information technology to assist with maintaining systems or database security.Perform data entry functions which may include personal information.Processing financial transactions (cash, check and credit card payments) and making cash deposits.Maintain equipment and supplies inventory.Administer first aid and activate emergency action steps if medical attention is required. May care for sick/injured students including handling medications.For leadership positions:

Train office staff in administrative tasks and office protocol.Maintain office staff schedule.Delegate and manage office projects.Ensure accuracy of front counter information and financial logs.Revise Standard Operation Procedures as needed.Minimum Qualifications

Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of studyMust meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employmentMust meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard

(OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
