Job Summary
The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the systems and architecture that facilitate the efficient processing and analysis of large-scale datasets. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data availability, accuracy, and usability for various business applications.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture: Design and implement scalable and robust data architectures to support data processing, storage, and retrieval needs.ETL Development: Develop and maintain Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to efficiently move data between systems and ensure data quality and integrity.Database Management: Manage and optimize databases, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security. Implement database schema changes as needed.Data Integration: Integrate data from diverse sources, both internal and external, to create a unified and comprehensive view of the company's data landscape.Data Modeling: Create and maintain data models that align with business requirements and support analytical and reporting needs.Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data throughout the data pipeline.Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.Documentation: Document data engineering processes, data flows, and system architecture to ensure clarity and knowledge sharing within the team.Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize data processing workflows for performance and efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong background in data architecture, ETL development, and database management.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.Experience with data storage and processing technologies such as SQL databases, NoSQL databases, Apache Spark, and Hadoop.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Must speak fluent English.
