Dynamic, boutique personal injury law firm based in South Carolina is expanding and looking for an empathic, experienced personal injury attorney to help their clients find justice and compensation for their injuries. The firm is dedicated to fighting for the injured and their families including those injured in automobile, tractor-trailer, motorcycle, bicycle and pedestrian accidents, boating and maritime accidents.T his position is on-site at the firm’s Mount Pleasant, SC office . Qualified candidates should have excellent credentials, a minimum of 3 years of successful personal injury litigation along with trial case experience, and an authentic passion for helping people. Bilingual (Spanish) would be a plus.Duties will include communicating with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information; evaluating potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly; negotiating suitable agreements and settle on the clients’ behalf when appropriate; drafting, reviewing, and modifying claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents; performing research on case law and premises liability; and gathering insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case.

Qualifications:

Must have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, having graduated with an excellent academic standing

Must be a member in good standing of the South Carolina Bar

Must have a minimum of 3 years of personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, wrongful death, personal injury, or civil litigation practice areas; Bilingual (Spanish) would be a plus

Must have an excellent understanding of personal injury law/ tort law, knowledge of medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is preferred

Computer/technology proficiency is essential
