1Position Summary:Incumbent consults with departments to determine their computing needs related to HAIS services specific to Perioperative and Biomedical Device Integration, including coordination, planning and scheduling of work assignments and training. Coordinates all projects with department heads and project leads. Provides assistance on a variety of computing issues to faculty, staff, and students on an individual and/or group level. Responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to support services. Participates in the evaluation, development and documentation of hardware and software standards for the Medical Center. $190,800.00Required Qualifications:Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends including possible overtime during Go-LivesWorking knowledge of wireless network configurations and limitations related to a clinical environmentDemonstrated supervisory skillsUnderstanding of Networking terminologiesExtensive experience with Windows Operating SystemsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships across multiple departments including IT and external vendors/customersAbility to balance multiple projects and competing prioritiesDemonstrated experience with completing projects and acting as a project manager / leadExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to actively seek and troubleshoot problems and issuesPrior experience supporting and configuring BioMedical Devices and interfacing to documentation systems such as Allscripts, Epic or CernerKnowledge of operating system internals, file systems, functions of hardware components, and how hardware and software components work together to form a computer systemWorking knowledge of integration middleware such as Capsule, DeviceConX and CorepointMinimum two years experience with Clinical Informatics and Biomedical Device IntegrationExperience with various deployment systems such as Microsoft SCCMAbility to apply logical troubleshooting, documentation and analysis techniques for the purpose of Problem and Incident resolutionMust be willing to participate in on call duties that would extend outside normal business hoursKnowledge of ITIL and Best Practices as it relates to the healthcare environmentPreferred Qualifications:Demonstrated supervisory experience in an IS departmentPrior experience assisting end users in Perioperative / Anesthesia / Clinical environments with Device Integration or at-the-shoulder supportKnowledge and understanding of ServiceNow as an ITIL platformEpic Certification in OpTime, Anesthesia, Bridges or EpicCareExperience supervising a 24/7 team in a high paced environmentConditions of Employment:The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
