Associate Scientist/Senior Associate Scientist-Protein Analytics

Success will be the discovery and development of effective therapies for patients in need, and we invite you to become a part of that.Responsibilities:Express and purify therapeutic and reagent molecules.Support analysis of proteins to determine biochemical and biophysical characteristics such as purity, homogeneity, size, and stability.Assist in manufacturability and developability assays using multiple analytical techniques for assessment.Engage and collaborate with cross functional teams to effectively investigate therapeutic candidate molecules.Carefully document research and effectively communicate results to relevant members of the team.Who You Are:A rigorous scientist with biochemistry and protein analytics work experience.Organized with a strong attention to detail and good time management.A collaborative teammate who thrives in a scientifically diverse, fast-paced, team-oriented, start-up environment.Eager to contribute to shaping an open, inclusive, and rigorous company culture by embracing teamwork, creativity, and a can-do attitude.Passionate about improving patients’ lives.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in biochemistry/biophysics, biological/chemical engineering or a related discipline with 3+ years of experience in a biotech/pharmaceutical industry setting.Experience with protein expression, purification, and characterization using analytical methods such as SDS-PAGE, Western blot, HPLC, and ELISA.Experience in biochemical and biophysical techniques such as SPR, BLI, DSF, or DLS is a plus.Experience with multispecific antibodies, fusion proteins, and other non-traditional antibody formats is a plus.As a member of our diverse and growing team, you’ll help shape Seismic into a company that takes its scientific mission seriously while providing a positive and supportive workplace environment and culture.
