JOB DESCRIPTION: North American Flexible Packaging
POSITION: Technical Service ManagerReports To: Regional Technical Service ManagerREGION OF RESPONSIBILITY: South CentralPOSITION SUMMARY:The Technical Service Representative position is a high profile assignment within the North American Packaging ink business and is a critical component of achieving the divisional objectives. This person effectively manages the technical and day-to-day aspects of the assigned accounts and will establish business relationships with the customers' technical and operations personnel. The primary territory includes Texas and the South Central region of the US. Travel (85-90%) to customer manufacturing sites.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Support the execution of the customer strategy for the assigned accountsBuild alignment with the customers' teams to support their long-term growth opportunitiesManage the inventory and consignment counts at select customersAlign the customer technically with Flint’s product management and product development team to ensure the best total value is deliveredManage technical issues by employing effective root cause and corrective action techniquesManage Service Code 360 initiatives at select sites to deliver productivity gainsCoordinate the interface between customers and Flint Group resources to provide value-added service to accountsManage and deliver successful on-press product evaluations by using the Flint Group tools to establish the Critical to Quality deliverablesCOMPETENCIES:Proven ability to work in a team environment, with the capability to lead and influence othersExpertise in inks, coatings, or specialty chemicalsDemonstrated successful project leadershipStrong written and verbal communication skillsREQUIREMENTS:EXPERIENCE:
5 years of Ink or specialty chemical experience, and proven ability working across functions and within an organization to achieve his/her goals
