A bachelor’s degree is required and classroom experience as an associate or lead teacher are preferred. Academic or professional experience in gifted education, creative problem-solving, and inquiry-based education preferred.Responsibilities

The associate teacher will be assigned to a lead teacher in the Lower School Division and be a member of the Lower School Division. The associate teacher will work with small groups and lead whole-class instruction using an inquiry-based curriculum that inspires intellectual curiosity and a sense of wonder in students. In addition to establishing positive relationships with students and parents, the associate teacher will collaborate with the lead teacher and progress toward whole-class teaching responsibilities. The associate teacher may also provide lunch and recess supervision, and other duties needed and assigned.This position is full-time.SCDS offers a very competitive salary and benefits package. Salary range is $55,000-$105,000, depending on qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance and long-term disability, excellent retirement plan, and section 125 plan.
