This is the largest faith-based, non-profit healthcare system in Texas, with over 52 campuses spread throughout the market. This 600+ bed Magnet Hospital is one of the largest campuses in the state, serving as the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the region, providing the highest level of care to the community.
The Vice President of Patient Care will have oversight of 400 beds, 800 FTEs, and will have three directors reporting to them. The service lines under their oversight include acute and progressive care, med surg, urology, transplant, neuro, trauma, oncology, transitional care, and OB overflow. This person will report to the Regional Chief Nursing Officer, who has been with the system for over eleven years. The Regional CNO seeks someone with teaching hospital experience, who can work well with employed doctors, and can demonstrate strong patient experience scores. A servant leader with a strong personality is essential for this role.

Requirements:
RN, BSN, and a Masters in a healthcare-related field required.
DNP strongly preferred.
15+ years of experience in an acute care hospital setting, with 10 years in clinical nurse leadership.
Must have experience with directors reporting to them.
Some experience in an academic trauma center is ideal.
Experience collaborating across multiple departments and clinical disciplines within a large, complex healthcare organization preferred.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with strong presentation skills.
Familiarity with Magnet and/or Pathways to Excellence designation.
