We are working with a Wholesale/Retail firm, based in the East Bay, who is looking to bring on an experienced and dynamic Assistant Controller. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual who is interested in joining a small firm and growing, with an immediate seat at the table and ability to provide value. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented person, who is comfortable overseeing the company's financials and reporting, and has comparable experience from a relatable industry: Retail/Wholesale/ Consumer Goods/ Manufacturing, and more.
What You'll Do:Manage day-to-day accounting operations with the accounting team (Cash Flow, AP, AR, GL, Reconciliations, etc.)Month-End/Year End close through accurate Financial ReportingAccrual based accounting: expenses and revenue, ensuring proper recognition of financial obligations and transactionsEnsure adequate processes and controls are in place and followed, implement new controls where neededManage budget and forecasting activities.Work in tandem with finance team to provide financial analysis and insight regarding company performance, budget variances, and financial trends.Oversee the annual audit process with external auditorsWhat You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree Accounting/Finance or related field.7+ years of experience in a relatable industry.NetSuite ERP experience or similar ERP system.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and a desire to learn and improve
