This candidate will be responsible for leading the sales team that calls on our Foodservice Broadline Distributors as well as the operators that buy our Tyson products. We are a direct sales team, and need a strong leader that wants to grow with us. This position is responsible for the overall business management of a direct force sales team that oversees an assigned geography and customer set that encompasses food service distributors and operator customers. The individual must have the ability to understand all facets of the business which includes sales, customer & market dynamics, products & production locations, customer programs and contracts, current operators & operator opportunities, CRM utilization, to name a few. The position requires the ability to lead and motivate a sales team, and to hold them accountable to reach specified goals. It also requires the interpretation of data to implement execution tactics needed for growth, and the ability to oversee the management of customer programs.

Responsibilities:

Management & growth of current business and the development of new business opportunities.

Hiring and leading Senior Managers and Sales Account Managers to achieve division and company goals and objectives.

Coaching and assisting team members with personal development goals, and also assisting team members with career development and advancement.

Managing expenses, samples and market development funds to meet company goals.

Working closely with Corporate Accounts, Sales Strategy & Planning, and Non-Commercial teams to deliver on company & team strategy to reach goals.

Participating in quota allocations for the team.

Developing themselves in all aspects of leadership in the spirit of continuous improvement.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Bachelors degree or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum 10 years outside sales experience in Food Service, Manufacturing, or Distributor Sales.

Computer Skills:

Basic computer skills that include a working knowledge of Word and Excel. Knowledge of Tyson Systems is helpful.

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills within the team but also with customers and cross functional partners.

Supervisory:

This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel in a single department or work unit who perform similar and or interrelated tasks and activities.

Travel:

Extensive travel 30 or more trips per year.

This role will cover the South East region: Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina. Candidate must live within the region near a major airport.
