A law firm in Cleveland, OH, seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of commercial litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent research and writing skills, and be admitted to practice law in Ohio. They should possess comprehensive skills in federal and state court matters, including initial claims investigations, drafting pleadings, discovery, expert witnesses, and trial/arbitration representation.Duties:Conduct initial claims investigations and case assessments.Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.Handle all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting document reviews, and preparing for and defending depositions.Work closely with expert witnesses and assist in their preparation for testimony.Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, trials, and arbitrations.Conduct legal research and provide analysis on various legal issues.Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and client matters.Maintain communication with clients, providing updates on case developments and advising on legal options.Attend and participate in case-related meetings, conferences, and negotiations.Requirements:3-6 years of commercial litigation experience.Strong academic credentials with a J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited law school.Admitted to practice law in the state of Ohio.Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.Proficiency in conducting and defending depositions.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of Ohio.
