NMMI is a state-supported, co-educational college preparatory high school and junior college, complete with Junior and Senior ROTC programs. With a Corps of Cadets numbering up to 1,000 young men and women, NMMI provides an accredited college preparatory curriculum on the high school level and is currently developing a new middle school.Position:
Under the direction of the President/Superintendent and Chief Financial Officer, the Human Resources/Title IX Director plans, leads, directs, develops, and coordinates the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resources/Title IX Department. This position is responsible for ensuring legal compliance and implementation utilizing internal policies, practices, and federal and state employment law. The HR/Title IX Director must continuously work toward NMMI’s mission and vision through the department’s strategic initiatives. This is an exempt, 12-month, full-time position. The salary range is $82,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually. The job description is available upon request.Tasks:Supervises the Human Resources/Title IX staff.Supports NMMI faculty, staff, and leadership.Investigates & develops an institutional position relative to formal and informal complaints.Develops policies and procedures that support consistent and legal practices.Acts as a resource for supervisors and employees regarding employee relations.Works collaboratively with the Title IX Coordinator.Other duties assigned.Qualifications:Required:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.Three years of experience in HR Management.Must possess a valid driver’s license.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Must possess the ability to work with a culturally diverse group of staff and faculty and work collaboratively with other administrators, faculty, and staff to advance the goals of the mission of the Institute.Employment Law Knowledge.Preferred:Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.At least five years of human resource management experience.SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.Why Should You Apply?NM Educational Retirement Board (ERB) pension plan through the State of New Mexico.Competitive pay.Excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance through the State of New Mexico.Positive workplace culture; supportive and encouraging team.Opportunity to work with and meet diverse staff, faculty, and cadets.Paid holidays, annual and sick leave.How to Apply:
