Federal Account Executive

to join our team! The Federal AE is responsible for developing and increasing the federal market segment for Copper River IT. This includes identifying and qualifying opportunities, meeting and presenting to prospective clients, and essentially owning and coordinating the entire sales cycle. The sales focus will be with Copper River's core partners such as Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, Aruba, and other strategic OEMs.Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Develop and implement a sales plan to achieve sales targetProactively gain new business through professional networking and by devising a creative, effective sales approach with solutions to find and close federal sales opportunitiesDevelop new market initiatives, assess new markets, and analyze business opportunitiesWork with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiativesPresent ideas and report facts and other information to management and teamManage own workflow and resolve questions and problems with supervisorQualifications:

Required Knowledge/ExperienceMinimum five (5) years of experience with managing and leading capture activities within the federal sectorEstablished contacts in the DOD and/or Civilian federal sector spacePrior experience selling under NASA SEWP and other GWAC federal contractsDemonstrated knowledge of Federal Government procurement processes and trendsAbility to understand and interpret the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skillsAbility to take initiative and perform independent, initial problem solving; be resourceful, prioritize, and organize daily activities; attention to detail is a mustAbility to work under pressure against tight deadlines; assertiveness is a must
