We are seeking a highly dedicated individual who has experience in the legal field and has been licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio for at least one year. The Associate Counsel will be responsible for:Providing legal advice and consultation to OBM’s Director, Assistant Director, and all levels of management staff.Acting as in-house counsel for the agency by conducting research, negotiating contracts, and interpreting law and legislation.Drafting proposed legislation and agency administrative rules.Conducting disciplinary hearings.Representing OBM at meetings.Advising internal staff as well as other agencies on all issues related to state finances.This position is unclassified in accordance with ORC 124.11 (A)(9).What’s In It For You
