POSITION SUMMARY: BJU Press recently rebuilt the entirety of our e-commerce platforms. In this role, you will work with designers and subject matter experts in key areas to implement effective user experiences across BJU Press e-commerce platforms. You will maintain and continue to develop best in class websites and work to optimize web speed and navigation for users across mobile and desktop platforms.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Writing website code with programming languages such as HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript and JavascriptProducing, maintaining and modifying websites and user interfacesIncorporating applications, graphics, audio and video clips into websitesCreating new website pagesEnhancing user's overall website user experience through best practices and site analyticsEnsuring websites are accessible across many platforms, including laptops and smartphonesRoutinely testing websites for ease of use, speed and other quality factorsFix or oversee fixing any website issues or bugs that ariseBuild and develop team according to the architectural need of the platform.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Proficiency in website programming languagesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsExperience in building and developing a team in the area of web design.Ability to work independently and manage time efficientlyAbility to understand business needs and find technical solutionsSolution-oriented supported with programming skillsAbility to troubleshoot and optimize web pages for security and responsivenessAbility to monitor customer usage and buying patterns and make recommended site changes to accommodate changesUnderstanding of the implementation of third party scripts and overseeing themUnderstanding of network diagnostics and analytical tools
