Job Summary:

Bob Jones University is seeking a passionate and strategic leader to serve as Vice President of Enrollment, guiding our university's efforts to attract and retain a vibrant, diverse student body. This role is not just about numbers—it's about shaping a Christ-centered community that thrives on our shared mission and values. We need someone who can inspire and move a team to achieve aggressive goals, approaching challenges with a problem-solving mindset and a collaborative spirit. You’ll work hand-in-hand with university leadership, including the President, Provost, and Chief Marketing Officer, to drive initiatives that fuel our growth and excellence in enrollment. Direct reports to this role are the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, Director of Graduate/Online Admissions, Director of Financial Aid, CRM/Data Manager, and Recruitment Marketing Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Partner with the President, Provost, and Chief Marketing Officer to drive action to increase the draw of students to the university.

Lead the creation and execution of a dynamic enrollment management plan that aligns with our university’s mission and long-term goals.

Build and cultivate a mission-driven, high-energy sales culture within the Enrollment team.

Oversee and unify the efforts of Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate and Online Admissions, Financial Aid, Data Services, and Recruitment Marketing to ensure a seamless, student-first approach.

Leverage data to understand enrollment trends, anticipate future needs, and pivot strategies to stay ahead of the curve.

Team Development and Management:

Hire, mentor, and inspire a team of enrollment professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, growth, and continuous improvement.

Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide professional development opportunities for team members.

Promote a Christ-centered workplace that aligns with the university's values and mission.

Recruitment and Admissions:

Guide the recruitment and admissions process, ensuring an exceptional experience for prospective students and their families from the first point of contact.

Craft and implement strategies to attract a diverse student population.

Foster relationships with high schools, community colleges, homeschool organizations, churches, and other organizations to promote the university.

Ensure that enrollment practices comply with all federal, state, and institutional regulations.

Financial Aid:

Oversee the administration of financial aid and scholarship programs to ensure they support enrollment goals and student needs.

Work closely with the Finance Office to develop and manage the financial aid budget.

Ensure that financial aid processes are clear and supportive, helping families navigate their financial journeys.

Marketing and Communication:

Partner with the Marketing and Communications team to develop and execute effective marketing strategies and campaigns.

Pursue shared key performance indicators that improve the performance of the enrollment funnel.

Utilize digital and social media platforms to engage prospective students and their families.

Qualifications:

A master’s degree is preferred.

At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in sales, enrollment management, or related areas (higher education experience preferred but not required).

Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategies to achieve aggressive goals.

Strong leadership and team-building skills with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external partners.

A strong commitment to the Christian faith and the ability to integrate faith into all aspects of the role.
