Job DescriptionFamily Medicine Nurse PractitionerWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our healthcare team in Las Vegas, New Mexico. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families across the lifespan. As a Family Medicine NP, you will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive primary care services.Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions, including illnesses, infections, and injuries.- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.- Prescribe medications and other treatments in accordance with state and federal regulations.- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment plans.- Perform routine procedures such as suturing, wound care, and interpreting diagnostic tests.- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards.- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with best practices in family medicine.- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff and support the professional development of team members.Qualifications:- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Mexico.- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by a recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP, ANCC).- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a family medicine or primary care setting preferred.- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of primary care principles and practices.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.Benefits:- Competitive salary and benefits package.- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.- Retirement plan with employer match.- Paid time off and holidays.- Continuing education and professional development opportunities.- Supportive and collaborative work environment.
