The Bluebird Group is a manufacturer's representative and consulting firm serving as an invaluable partner to some of the most innovative brands and multinational retailers. We are seeking a Retail Account Manager to work on our Target team in our office in Downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota.

As a Retail Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving successful business partnerships and inventory management strategies between Target and our vendor partners through forecasting, analytics, inventory flow optimization, and effective communication.

Build strong relationships with both our vendors' operations teams and Target's merchandise planning teamsDemand Planning/Forecasting - facilitate and analyze forecasts to optimize the business for both the vendor and TargetDrive supply chain initiatives to improve on time/ right quantity delivery to TargetMonitor in-stock needs and provide a proactive strategy to solve the stock problemAnalyze vendor performance metrics and identify issues and root-causes, ultimately solving vendor performance issues or problemsMonitor customer purchase ordersCreate and maintain new items in Target's systemProvide vendors with at least weekly sell-through analytics and other information to help optimize the businessMaintain accurate records regarding program agreements, pricing, product information, order status, planning issues and vendor set-upsEnsure that the internal accounting system is up to date with accurate shipping and invoicing information for cash flow purposesWork closely with other Retail Account Managers in complex problem solving, and best practice creationEducate vendors on Target and the processes used (planograms, advertising, shipping, GSN set up, etc)JOB REQUIREMENTS

Ability to analyze data, identify issues and make recommendationsClear and effective communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong initiative and the ability to work independently with little supervisionEffective organization skills and the ability to multi-taskWorking knowledge of Target's internal item and inventory management systemsFunctional knowledge of MS Excel (sorting/grouping data, pivot tables, v lookups, etc)EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Four-year college degree preferredExperience working with Target on the corporate retail or vendor side requiredExperience working within retail is highly preferredExperience with demand planning and forecasting
