Job Summary
The Executive and Internal Communications Student Program Assistant offers FIU students opportunities to work in a professional organization for the purpose of gaining supervised practical experience. Students will have the opportunity to utilize, under professional supervision, skills required through normal coursework. It allows the student to observe competent professional models on the job and be provided with evaluative feedback. The Executive and Internal Communications Student Assistant handles duties such as researching and assisting with the drafting of speeches and other university communications.

Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.

Hours will vary based on class schedule and needs of department.
