A law firm in Las Vegas, NV, seeks a highly experienced Life Science IP Partner with a robust and consistent portable book of business exceeding $600,000. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life science intellectual property matters, including prosecution, transactional work, and litigation. This role requires an individual with proven expertise in managing various IP issues within the life sciences sector.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage complex life science intellectual property cases, including prosecution, transactional work, and litigation.
Develop and execute strategies for IP portfolio management and protection.
Provide strategic legal counsel on patent filings, IP licensing, and IP-related agreements.
Represent clients in IP disputes, including litigation and arbitration.
Foster and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality service and satisfaction.
Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and support staff within the IP practice.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve IP-related challenges.
Stay abreast of industry trends and legal developments in life science IP to provide informed advice.
Participate in business development activities to expand the firm’s client base and enhance its market presence.
Requirements:
Portable and consistent books of business totaling $600,000 or more.
Proven track record of handling a wide range of life science IP matters, including prosecution, transactional, and litigation.
Extensive experience in life science patent law and IP portfolio management.
Demonstrated success in client development and relationship management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
A bachelor’s degree in a life science field or related technical discipline is preferred.
Certifications:
Admission to the State Bar in Nevada (or ability to gain admission).
Skills:
