Housed under the CSU Climate Initiative, the Spur Climate Hub at Colorado State University’s Denver-based Spur Campus is a pioneering initiative designed to address the multifaceted challenges of climate change. This hub aims to leverage CSU’s extensive expertise as a leading land-grant university renowned for its world-class climate-related knowledge, innovative education and training programs, and robust track record of climate innovation. The Spur Climate Hub is committed to serving a wide range of public, private, and philanthropic partners.Position Summary:

Colorado State University seeks a full-time Director to lead a new system-wide Climate Hub at the CSU’s Denver-based Spur Campus. The director will be responsible for working with internal organizers to refine the initial offerings and secure buy-in for a holistic vision for the hub. The director will lead the development and execution of a five-year plan to support the diverse needs of a wide range of public, private, and philanthropic partners in need of tailored climate information and programming.Required Job Qualifications:PhD and at least 2 years of relevant work experience; or, Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent and at least 5 years of relevant work experience.At least 5 years of public and/or private sector experience related to climate change (e.g., carbon finance, government and/or philanthropic programs, climate-related research, climate policy, corporate sustainability).2 years of team management experience (2 employees or more).Proven experience in fundraising and donor relationships.Preferred Job Qualifications:Strong cross-functional and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.Ability to organize and manage multiple programs and workstreams.Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate progress toward strategic goals.Established network of relevant public and private contacts within Colorado and beyond.Familiarity with climate-related faculty and subject matter experts at CSU across multiple disciplines.Successful track record of business development.Experience organizing and managing a small team of support staff and technical personnel with diverse skill sets.Diversity Statement:
