Duties and Responsibilities:Involvement in appropriate professional organizations.Promote, organize, advertise, and recruit students to participate in the Universities intramural and club sports programs and other related student activities.Provide overall supervision of intramural events for students, staff, and faculty.Recruit, hire, and train student staff.Coordinate the usage of the Wellness Center for intramural sports programs.Inspect and maintain all fitness and intramural equipment.Serve on committees both on and off campus to promote the interests of the Universities intramural program.Work with various student organizations on campus.Support Enrollment Management and Student Affairs events such as Orientation, Homecoming, etc.Hours include nights and weekendsOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of University and Wellness Center policies and proceduresKnowledge of the rules and regulations related to intramural sporting eventsKnowledge of intramural programs and activitiesKnowledge of best practices in Club SportsKnowledge of Student development theories pertaining to wellness and recreationKnowledge of applicable laws, regulations and best practices regarding intramural sports risk managementKnowledge of budgeting principles and practicesKnowledge of American Red Cross safety programsWritten and oral communication skillsPresentation skillsInterpersonal skillsOrganizational skillsAbility to assess program progress and goalsAbility to superviseAbility to create professional development to train employees on appropriate intramural and club sport practices.Ability to process, review, and evaluate documentsAbility to provide accurate informationAbility to speak in public, lead small group meetings, and make presentationsAbility to work on multiple projects at one time and respond to multiple competing demandsAbility to use a computer and relevant software applications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of working experience in intramurals programs or related field. Master's Degree preferred.
