The Lead Financial Analyst will manage the fiscal components of multiple departments at the agency; this consists of high-level and larger budgets agency wide. Manages assigned Financial Analyst(s) including delegating tasks and work quality. This position will ensure processes and cost controls are in place for all programs and have checks and balances in place for the employees they oversee. Serve as key liaison between finance and program, working closely at all levels across the agency.

Manages government and foundation grants/contracts and budgets $30M+ and prepares accurate and timely financial reports, providing key insights to management for decision-making purposes.

Serves as key team member in the financial planning process responsible for developing financial forecasts and budgets, financial models to support strategic planning and resource allocation considering historical performance and future growth projections.

Develops comprehensive and complex financial models to evaluate business performance, analyze trends, and project future financial outcomes.

Partners with program management to develop or revise program budgets, refunding applications throughout the year.

Directs Financial Analyst(s) that tracks, monitors, compares, and analyzes revenues, expenses, amounts billed, payments received, payroll labor distributions, cost allocations, revenue, and expense accruals to contract/grant budgets to ensure compliance and adherence to budgets and cost containment.

Leads scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate potential financial outcomes and risks and make recommendations to program management.

Prepares complex financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management.

Supports the agency through fiscal and funder-related program contract audits.

Optimizes cost structures and resource allocation, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements through data-informed analysis.

Supports capital allocation decisions, provides financial insights for capital projects and new ventures, and assesses various scenarios' impact on the organization's financial position.

Coordinates contract/grant fiscal monitoring audits/visits, as well as completing subrecipient monitoring visits and assists during internal audits.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the overall direction and evaluation of the direct reports.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Supervises Financial Analyst(s).

QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting required. Master’s degree in Business Administration desired.

5+ years of finance experience. Non-profit experience is a plus.

Experience creating forecasts and providing recommendations to upper management.

Familiarity with federal government contracts.

Previous supervisory or senior level experience a plus.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Strong task prioritization and process improvement.

Valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance.

May require some travel.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to handle confidential information.

Ability to research and find answers for unknown variables.

Maintains patient privacy, including protecting the confidentiality, safeguarding the integrity and availability, and limiting the use and disclosure of patient Protected Health Information (PHI) to authorized individuals and entities.

Participates in, conducts, and sustains performance quality improvement activities according to designated role and responsibilities.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 365 (i.e., Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)

Advanced Excel modeling & analytical skills.

Adaptive Insights experience is a plus.

COMPENSATION:$84,641.00 USD - $101,569.00 USD

In accordance with California law, the expected pay range for this position is included in this posting. The actual compensation will be determined based on factors permitted by law.
