We are partnered with a growing hospitality organization in Miami, FL that is looking for a
Staff Accountant . They are an outstanding business that is growing at a strong rate. This is an excellent opportunity for junior-level candidates to grow organically with a business and be exposed to many different functions as they develop.Salary/Hourly Rate:$65k - $75kPosition Overview:The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities. There is also an opportunity to be exposed to some finance planning and analysis when working so closely with the company’s Manager.Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
General accounting duties for Staff Accountant.
The Staff Accountant will assist with month-end closing and year-end closing as needed.
Financial statement preparation as Staff Accountant.
Review general ledger accounts and prepare and adjust journal entries.
Assist with billing, invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable as the Staff Accountant.
The Staff Accountant will perform account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements.
Post monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals.
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:
Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting.
Compensation depends on how much experience.
Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
The Staff Accountant must possess extremely strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with large data sets efficiently
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required for Staff Accountant.
